Dear friends,

We are now well into our Lenten journey towards Easter, embracing its promise of hope and new life.

On Sunday 15th, as well as being ‘Mothering Sunday’ we celebrate ‘Laetare Sunday,’ laetare meaning ‘rejoice.’ This is not only a time to rejoice as God’s family, it is also a time to pause and reflect, allowing the joyful light of the resurrection to break through the repentant shadows of Lent.

Jesus asks us to move from the darkness of self-sufficiency to the light of faith. God’s mercy is an extravagant gift, so let us remember that if we struggle in our Lenten disciplines we are not to be disheartened, for in Jesus Christ we are offered renewal. We go forward as children of light. (John 12: 36; Ephesians 5: 8-9)

God Bless. Love, Debbie
